What this article is

Sarah "Sass" Jordan was a British-born, Canadian-raised, rock singer from Montreal, Quebec. Her first single, "Tell Somebody," from her debut album of the same title, won the Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist in 1989. Based on her 1992 album Racine she was Billboard's top female rock artist of the year for 1992. Subsequently, she was nominated three more times for Juno Awards. Her 2020 album Rebel Moon Blues hit number five on the Billboard Blues chart. Outside of the music industry, she also acted in television roles. For six seasons, she was a judge on the Canadian Idol television show until she returned to her music career exclusively in 2009. Her 2023 live album, based on her 1994 tour with Taylor Hawkins on drums, called Live in New York Ninety-Four, was her most recent release. She abruptly stopped touring in September 2026 due to undisclosed medical issues, about a month before her death.

The article grew by 1,431 characters that day. The largest single addition was 1,604 characters. See everything that changed on 2026-10-05 in Wikipedia's own diff view — that is where the reason for a surge is usually visible, written and sourced by the editors who were following the story.

How this was measured

Views are Wikimedia's own pageview counts for en.wikipedia, filtered to agent=user so automated traffic is excluded. The baseline is the median of the previous 60 days, which is used instead of the mean so that an earlier surge cannot flatten a later one. The multiple is the day's views divided by that median.
