Wikipedia readers turned to Confessions II at 23x the usual rate

What this article is

Confessions II is the fifteenth studio album by American singer and songwriter Madonna. It was released on July 3, 2026, through Warner Records. Conceived as a sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005), the album was inspired by familial and professional challenges, in addition to the sociopolitical state of the world, which led Madonna to record an upbeat album as a distraction. She wrote and produced all the material with Stuart Price, her main collaborator on the original album. Madonna also worked with Andrew Watt, Cirkut, Tainy, Martin Garrix, and Mirwais. Confessions II features guest appearances by Sabrina Carpenter, Feid, Stromae, and Madonna's eldest daughter Lola Leon.

How this was measured

Views are Wikimedia's own pageview counts for en.wikipedia, filtered to agent=user so automated traffic is excluded. The baseline is the median of the previous 60 days, which is used instead of the mean so that an earlier surge cannot flatten a later one. The multiple is the day's views divided by that median.
