The final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 19th edition of FIFA's competition for national football teams, was played at Soccer City in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 11 July 2010. It was contested by the Netherlands and Spain, the first and only time two European teams contested a World Cup final held outside of Europe, as all other finals held outside of Europe featured a South American side.
